Hope is doing very well post-operatively. She feels so well, in fact, that it is difficult to keep her from going full-on puppy around the house. Fortunately, she gets sleepy pretty fast.

I love her coat! I'm not sure that my dog would actually wear one, but I'd be very interested in buying one to try -- where'd you get it?
I made this one, I had to use a pattern from a halloween costume of a dinosaur, and changed the collar around a little but decided to leave the spikes and the tail. We are waiting for the dog Jammies to be delivered via FedEx, and will post info about those when they arrive, but in the meantime We needed something to keep her sutures safe and this seems to be working for now. Hope has always had bandages or jackets or something one, so she'd very used to having her clothes changed, and I'm not sure she'll like being naked when that time comes :-)
Thank you Christi for sharing about Hope. It makes me smile to see how well she is progressing and that she is well loved. Years ago when I was a Child Protection service person (Social Services) we seldom had a warm, fuzzy ending. The ones we did had we celebrated and shared with all the other social workers we knew.
Rescue is very much the same. So we must let the warm fuzzies wash over us all, to remind us why we do what we do.
Bless you.
Karen
Chrsti,
I just wanted to thank you for saving Hope and everyday I smile when I see how well she is doing. I have made several donations and am willing to make more. I suggest you post an update on cost so everyone can assist in covering Hope's medical cost. You can count on me.
Thank you so much for posting updates on this sweet girl. She looks so precious and secure snoozing in her colorful pj's--I love them, you did a great job on them, Christi. It's wonderful to see her getting better every day, what a impact she has made on so many people, she was meant to be. Thanks for all those who have been able to help with her expenses. This picture makes me smile every time I see it, it's pure love.
